Hello everyone... And Welcome to my blog
This is my first post, and the title says it all.
When you own a new mobile phone and if you are an Android geek of course, the first thing you need to be able to flash and try new custom roms is a custom recovery, however if your mobile phone has a locked bootloader the struggle will begin; some people knows how to unlock it and they are fine with it, others do not like to lose warranty and data, the idea of unlocking the bootloader itself might be terrifying for others.
Anyway, we are not here today to talk about the bootloader, I'm going to show you how you can install a custom TWRP recovery on your Motorola Moto C 4G codenamed: namath with model number: XT1754 without unlocking the bootloader or losing any data ;)
Although in most cases you can just flash TWRP via SP flash tool on any mediatek device, because actually mediatek bootloader is a joke :P, not like snapdragon chipset as an example, but when we tried on the new Moto C series we all failed, friends of mine tried to flash recoveries on Moto C 3G- chipset MT6580, and Moto C plus same chipset as mine MT6737m, and we ended all with the same result: not flashed!
This tutorial assume that you have knowledge about root and recoveries and those terms aren't new to you.
So let's start...

1st of all, download SP flash tool, if you don't already have it.
Instructions:
1. Download and extract my ported recovery from here ⟶ DOWNLOAD
2. Open SP flash tool and select "Download agent" DA_SWSEC_6737m_98736_71604.bin from the previous zip
3. Load the scatterfile from the extracted zip and select preloader only, but we are not going to flash it.
4. Click Alt + Ctrl + V to activate advanced mode in SP flash tool.
5. Click on "Window" up there and select "Write mode" as shown in this screenshot:
6. Change the address to "0x2d80000" and then click on "File path and select my ported recovery.img
7. Power off your device, wait until it vibrates so you are sure it is powered off, then click on write memory and connect your phone to PC via USB cable.
8. When it finishes disconnect your phone, then click and hold on power button + volume down simultaneously and boot into recovery.
I finished my tutorial here...
Now here are some tips, the above recovery I ported from Doogee x5 pro, compiled by a great developer snowcat4pda (Credits for him) but unfortunately, if you formated your SD card as internall "Adoptable storage" it won't work with this recovery.
So I ported another one, from Moto E4 plus, compiled by zormax, you can download and flash it from here ⟶ DOWNLOAD
If you want to root your device, I recommend that you use magisk, visit XDA thread here ⟶ Magisk
My XDA thread for the recovery ⟶ Mysteryagr@XDA
