Cagabi One Phone Review

Are you searching for a budget smart phone with good specifications? Do you want a phone that can cover your needs with a low price? Then Cagabi One is a good choice for you!

Cagabi one phone review
Cagabi one is a smart phone coming with MediaTek Processor MT6580A which has 4 cores @ 1.300 Mhz and Mali 400 graphic card, this chipset is 32 bit and it supports 3G and dual sims, the phone also has 1 GB of ram, 8 GB internal storage, 5 inches IPS LCD screen, 2200 mAh Li-Ion battery, 8 MP primary camera with dual flash and front 5 MP selfie camera with a single flash, the phone has proximity, light and accelerometer sensors, and it is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

The design:

The first thing that attracted my attention for this phone, is the design, so it is the first thing I am going to talk about.
The phone front and back covers are made of good quality plastic, except that it has a metallic frame which gives it that wow look, the first time I hold it in my hand I had an impression that it is really a decent phone, very good design with a low price.
The phone has 7 colors for all tastes, which are: (Black, Silver,  Dark Blue, Green,  Gold,  Red and yellow) and all of them are fantastic and looking good, I have the black one and it look special compared to other black phones I previously had, specially the back cover which gives a feeling that it is metal and not plastic.
In the back the Camera and the dual  flash are surrounded by a notable circle shinning in blue, which looks like Motorola new phones camera design, however I like the work made in Cagabi one more, so yea it looks better.
Also in the back we can see the loudspeaker down there and there is one microphone, on the right side there are 3 buttons, volume up, volume down and power button in silver metallic color, on its head there is a place for heaphones jack and another for USB cable, and finally in front we have hardware navigation touch buttons, which, in my opinion, is better than software on screen buttons so you can enjoy your full screen, and obviously we have call speaker up there and on its right side there are light/proximity sensor, the selfie camera and the front flash, unfortunately there is no LED notifications.

The Software:

There are a lot to talk about here, let's start with a brief talk about Android version which is Android 6.0 Marshmallow supports OTA updates (On The Air updates).
- One of the most important features of Android 6.0 is Doze feature which helps in saving the battery and makes it last longer.
- Now in Android 6.0 you can control permissions of the apps , so no need to give access all the time.
- Also Android 6.0 brings privacy and security, improved application performance, and expandable storage for devices with low internal memory, or for who likes to install really large games.

A- The User  interface:
The UI of Android running on Cagabi one is almost pure Android with minimal changes, it is a good thing from one side, and bad from the other side.. the good thing is that the software is light, free of useless apps and does not lag, the bad thing is that you do not have themes like EMUI, ColorOS, XOS.. etc, however for some people they just want a fully functional phone to use and they are careless about customization, some of my friends are like so, for me as an Android geek I like to play with my phone and customize it from time to time, so in my opinion I think Cagabi software developers should work more on the UI, it makes some users, like me, feel happy using th phone.
Oh, by saying almost pure Android I didn't mean that the software is not customized, I was talking in terms of themes and the choice of the user to modify or edit it, actually Cagabi one has custom icons for its apps, an option called " Turbo Download" which allows you to download using WiFi and Cellular data at the same time, this feature is not available on AOSP, we have another feature called "Magic Thumb" which makes pretty small symbols (like hearts) on the screen while you are moving your finger over it, and a "Float window" which has some useful shortcuts for you and for multitasking purposes, and finally screen gestures or the "Smart wake" option, which enables you to wake the device or control/open an app while the screen is off.

B- The Performance:

When we are talking about the performance or the features of the phone we must keep the price in mind to make a balanced opinion, Cagabi with with 4 cores processor and 1 GB of ram made "21061" point on Antutu benchmark, which is a good score for a phone with specifications and price.

The Camera:
The Camera of Cagabi one can take good pictures in good light conditions, but not at night or in low light like most of budget phones, that's where the dual flash become handy, the pictures captured with both front and back camera are acceptable as I am going to show you in the following pictures, however if you are the kind of camera person, please don't blame the phone, no one says it has a professional camera, still the results is quite acceptable as I said:

What is in the box:

The box of the phone I received as a gift contains the phone and the battery inserted inside, but you  have remove the back cover and a sticker was on the poles of the battery, so you can power it on, the box also contains 1 charger and 1 USB cable, 1 extra screen protector; the phone already has one on it, when I removed the sticker that was on the screen a found a layer of scratch resistance protector under it, and the company give you an extra one too! finally there was a back plastic flexible cover and no headphones.. what the company did here was excellent because when you buy a phone from the Internet it is not easy to find accessories for it in the local stores, exactly my case in Egypt, so thanks to them.

The price:
The price of Cagabi one while I'm writing this review is $55, you can buy it from Ali Express, for me I received mine from the ordinary Egyptian mail after a month and payed 400 EGP custom taxes, but if you want Ali Express has other shipping options.
